Sims Wear

About the project

Sims Wear is a British menswear brand creating timeless pieces that are designed to last. Their garments are manufactured in British mills and factories to the highest ethical standards, from the highest grade raw materials. 

Billy Sims-Hilditch, founder of Sims Wear contacted Whisper + Shout to create a visual and verbal identity for the brand, including website design and content, and collateral such as postcards, clothing labels, tags and packaging. 

Their understated and elegant identity is informed by the brand’s essentialist, analogue approach, with a nod to British heritage. 

I engaged photographer Jon Tonks for his documentary style photography shot on medium format film, and art directed the brand’s inaugural shoot which took place in the Black Mountains. 

I designed the website to have an editorial, utilitarian feel, with strong emphasis on telling the stories behind the brand’s suppliers and customers, and worked with MoreSoda to develop the site.

Sims Wear continues to go from strength to strength, with features in national publications including The Telegraph and Gentleman’s Journal. This year, they opened their first bricks and mortar shop in Marylebone.
